Allison Iraheta - Firday I'll Be Over U
My favorite Idol last season was definitely the super talented Ms. Iraheta. Allison brought a spunk and talent rarely seen on Idol. Also at only 17 she truly has the ability to make you feel what she is singing. Love Her. Cute Video. Catchiest Song of the Year.

Carly Smithson joins We Are The Fallen
Carly sounds amazing and although this is not my kind of music typically, I still want to show my girl the love. The band consists of the former band for Evanescence minus singer Amy Lee. Evanescence will go forward with a new band and remain fronted by Amy. On CNN earlier this week, WATF made it clear they are not trying to be Evanescence but a new band completely. This song does not help their arguement, however I can see this being huge. I would love to hear more from them but just stripped down to let her voice shine.
You can watch their first live performance below

Kris Allen should get more attention...
This season the producers of American Idol are being blatant about who they want America to choose. They have given very little attention to Kris Allen. After last night,it will not be long before his charm and talent reach a wide audience. Here are some interviews and performances to get you acquainted with my new baby. In the first he is funny and charming as hell. Interesting that when they ask what his special talent is he automatically responds that he is missing a rib, which leads my train of thought to imagine his true secret talent is one of self pleasure.
I really hope he makes Top 12...
Performance was not the best last night but shows he deserves to be there.

Syesha Mercado top 3 ...
Good for her... This season of Idol has been odd ..kicking the truest talent out too early and keeping some mediocre performers around... Syesha has proven to be one of the true talents in my eyes. She gave her performance of A Change is Gonna Come was actually heartfelt and I loved it. Week after week she has come out swinging and they knock her down but this week she killed it! I'm glad Simon and Paula gave her the credit she deserves.

more on Carly...
This is a video of Carly Smithson/Hennessy that her label put together. The video includes interviews, performances, and recordings from the studio.
And also today I finally decided to check out what the singles from her album sounded like and to see if I did recognize any of them. It turns out that I did know and really like one song "I'm Gonna Blow You're Mind." I remember hearing this on the radio and singing along...check it out I bet you know the song too!

Carly Smithson ...
You know I'm pissed... Really it's a shame that America has voted off some of the most talented Idols so early this year... She might just be my favorite Idol ever... let's wait for the album!

American Idol recap... Andrew Lloyd Webber edition
Carly Smithson gave the most passionate performance of the night with her rendition of "Superstar"... she infused every note with grit and soul. The texture of her voice was on full display tonight and she had fun...
I lost count how many times I just voted for her.. but my guess would be close to 50 times...
anyway the rest of the night was hit or miss...
Syesha Mercado found the hottest red dress that American Idol has ever seen and rocked the hell out of it... She displayed sex appeal, sass, and charm throughout her performance of "One Rock n' Roll Too Many" I think she deserves to stay for this performance.
Jason Castro's version of "Memories" however left me feeling sad for the wrong reason. I lol'd during his performance and segment with Andrew Lloyd Webber...though he was pretty cute saying" I'm really nervous, it's kinda a popular song" he really was a victim of this week and his hotness could only hold me so much. Not terrible or anything it's just not anywhere near most contestants ability.
David Archuleta performed "Think of Me" and again failed to ignite any fire within me. However he hit most notes and you know he's safe. ALW seemed most concerned that David keep his eyes open. I feel like he is deep down gay and it must be really hard for him keeping that inside. I mean with Ryan and Jason around I'm sure he is probably having some big trouble.
Poor Brooke White forgot the lyrics and had to stop just as she began "You Must Love Me." It really sucks, she will probably be saying goodbye tomorrow night for that mistake. If that is the case I won't be shocked but I will be disappointed. The vocal flaws add texture and originality to Brooke's voice and I've become a fan.
David Cook gave the strongest performance from a male with "The Music of The Night." His rendition had Randy exclaiming "molten hot lava bomb!" His voice sounded great tonight and every power note was perfect.
